Jeff Faust

Faust’s work is a variety of styles and techniques. He has worked mostly in the approach of what he terms "Subtle Surrealism", a quest to produce images that use nature and realism in realities that one wouldn't see in real life. Nature plays a large part in these images; leaves, twigs, feathers and a whole slew of objects, find their way into his work, rowboats, eggs, nests and many other objects reoccur through the work as they find a continued life on the canvas. Faust’s artwork is available at Conde Contemporary, an art gallery formerly located in Miami, now located in Natchez, Mississippi.

Connecticut

An autodidact, born in Connecticut and raised, from the age of five, in California, Faust has been actively painting and producing art since grade school.  Both his parents were creative people; when he showed an interest in art, they keep him supplied with various materials and access to their modest collection of art books, his sole art education came from those precious books.

Faust’s work through the early years was a variety of styles and techniques but for the past many decades, he has worked mostly in the approach of what he terms "Subtle Surrealism", a quest to produce images that use nature and realism in realities that one wouldn't see in real life.  Nature plays a large part in these images; leaves, twigs, feathers and a whole slew of objects, find their way into his work, rowboats, eggs, nests and many other objects reoccur through the work as they find a continued life on the canvas.
