Cuban Art Gallery : Miami to Santa Fe
Art Santa Fe
Faith in an aptly named city
We've just returned from a successful and well curated show in Santa Fe. It's no wonder USA Today named Art Santa Fe one of the top four fairs in the country. Conde Contemporary, a Cuban art gallery specializing in contemporary Cuban art, was well represented with two booths and the repeated standing room only showings of the documentary film "Alumbrones", which featured four of the Cuban artists with whom we work. The coverage of Conde Contemporary was stunning. Darian Rodriguez Mederos was featured both on the cover of The New Mexican and on the cover of the arts and culture insert Pasatiempo. Inside the newspaper we garnered three pages with features on Aurora Molina's "Pioneros" and the film "Alumbrones", as well as a mention in The Albuquerque Journal. "Santa Fe never disappoints. We were very pleased with the fair and the work of Charlotte Jackson in putting it all together. It was a wonderful experience which we will certainly seek to repeat next year", commented Stacy Conde, Director of Conde Contemporary. Also of note, both Andres Conde and Darian Rodriguez Mederos were chosen by Art Business News as two of "40 Artists to Watch". Things are heating up here in Miami and beyond!
